At HTC Health we’re very keen on getting involved in worthy initiatives, especially if they involve a bit of laughter or some yummy treats! So again this year, with our red noses on, we’ll be joining the rest of the UK in celebrating Red Nose Day and fundraising for Comic Relief.
Since the last Red Nose Day, Comic Relief has helped hundreds of thousands of vulnerable people living in the world’s poorest communities. To date, Red Nose Day has raised more than 1 billion Pounds, making it one of the biggest events on the charity calendar. We could not pass that opportunity to get involved!
This year, in addition to the main event on Friday, where the whole HTC team will be sporting red clothing and some funny Red Noses, we started early with some fab muffins, created by our very own Star Baker – Clare. Whether you’re dressing up with friends, having an office bake sale or even climbing a mountain, it’s great to get involved and support Comic Relief in their efforts to make the world a better place.
Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become something of a British institution. It’s the day, every two years, when people across the land can get together and do something funny for money at home, school and work. Comic Relief spends the money raised by Red Nose Day to help people living tough lives across the world. They fund more than 2,000 projects, throughout the UK, addressing a range of issues, from homelessness and mental health to dementia and vulnerable young people. Across Africa and some other world’s poorest countries, their programs tackle issues such as immunisation, malaria, education, maternal health and many others.
Fundraising for Red Nose Day is a really easy way to support a range of life-changing projects. So if you haven’t chipped in yet, put your red nose on and get involved! #RedNoseDay
