HTC Health has yet again donated our supplements to support the charity organisation, Mama Biashara.
We have donated Flaxseed Oil, Calcium, Vitamin C and Fish Oil to the Kenyan based charity. Mama Biashara is an organisation that has been involved in working with the very poorest of families in slum areas across Kenya since 2006. The charity provides grants to marginalised people in Kenya so they can set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. Mama Biashara also provides medical clinics and advice for those with no way to pay the 80p it costs to see a hospital doctor.
Consuming a diverse range of nutrient-dense foods is the ideal way for children to get essential micronutrients in their diets, but in this part of the world, children’s diets contain insufficient micronutrients and deficiencies are widespread. Mama Biashara therefore provide the community with lifesaving health supplements donated by HTC Heath to those at risk of malnutrition, reducing preventable illness.
Peter Groves, Managing Director at HTC Health says, “We have been long term supporters of Mama Biashara, having donated various supplements in the past to aid small communities in Nairobi. We hope that this donation will inspire more people to support Mama Biashara’s work, helping them to deliver lasting change. We take our corporate social responsibility seriously, so have built an ongoing partnership with this inspiring charity which continues to deliver tangible benefits to communities in Kenya.”
