On the 26th of July suppliers and partners of Holland and Barrett gathered in the fabulous Celtic Manor in Wales to take part in the Holland and Barrett Charity Golf Day and Gala Dinner.
After a busy day of playing Golf at the Montgomerie Course and the 2010 Ryder Cup Course, the guests were invited for the evening Gala Dinner. Attendees were treated to a delicious three course meal, which was followed by the main auction and some fabulous entertainment programme. The auction, which included some extraordinary lots, was very popular with guests, who were bidding to the very last minute via their tables. Last year’s event has raised £350,000 and the organisers were very hopeful to beat that result this Summer.
Summarising the 10th edition of the Annual Charity Day, Peter Aldis, Holland and Barrett’s CEO, has stressed how thankful he was for the ongoing support and generosity of all the participants: “This last decade of success has only been possible by your commitment and so far, a phenomenal £1.5 million has been raised for worthwhile charity causes.”
The funds raised on the day will benefit Holland & Barrett’s Healthy Hope charity, which was set up in 2014 to support a number of initiatives throughout the UK with the key focus on health and well-being, education relating to health and the protection and improvement of the environment. The other beneficiary of the annual H&B’s charity Ball is Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People in Loughborough, who provides help and support to families and children suffering from life threatening or terminal illness.
Bez Drury, HTC’s Finance Director, who attended this amazing event, said: “Holland and Barrett is a valued customer of HTC and so we were delighted to take part in their Annual Summer Ball. As a company we are always keen to support such worthy initiatives and we hope that the funds raised this year will benefit the families that need them most.”
